The people managing the cottages were fabulous. They were very patient with our kids and treated us all almost like family. Sandy (at the front desk) was super sweet. The fishing was excellent. We caught many walleye and over 100 pan fish for our fish fry, plus several large bass for sport. The kids really enjoyed the pool and large waterslide in the lake. We made good use of free kayak rental. The cottages were clean and tidy. The kitchen had all of the utensils we needed, and the shower was hot. Overall, Southview met all of our expectations, plus extra points for hospitality and kindness. I recommend this place as great place for families.

Wow, what a great place. They have a huge selection of trees/shrubs/perennials, etc, and at a competitive price. I wish I had known about this place earlier. The people working there are kind and help you select the best plant for your need. Highly recommend. The stream that runs through the nursery is an added bonus.

A pretty neat little living museum. The fitzpatrick house, the fireplace had just been let to smolder out. The lady in the hotel was cooking a cobbler in the wood stove there. The man across the way had cooked something over the fire. The staff is very knowledgeable and were able to show us some skills they picked up working there. The price of admission was very reasonable ($10 for adults, $8 senior and students and down from there). You probably need about 3 hours to work your way around and chit chat with the interpreters. You may want some more time if you can talk the ears off a dead horse. Worth a visit for sure.

Absolutely incredible experience with Wildwood Cottages! The cottages are immaculate and had everything we needed for a perfect getaway. The location is stunning-right on the water with breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere. The hosts went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and memorable. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with exceptional service. They made us feel right at home and truly cared about our experience. Their attention to detail and friendly demeanour made our stay unforgettable. We enjoyed every moment and can't wait to return. Highly recommend staying here--not just for the beautiful cottage and all the amazing things they offer but for the fantastic team behind them!!!
