Description From Owner:
- The name Musquodoboit is an Anglicized version of the First Nations peoples' word Mooskuduboogwek, 'suddenly widening out after a narrow entrance at its mouth.'
- The Aboriginal name for Middle Musquodoboit was Natkamkik, the river extends up hill.' The first land grantee in 1783 was David Archibald and for a time after 1883 the place name Laytonville was in use.
- North America's largest humming bird drinks from a three-footwide Morning Glory at Middle Musquodoboit.
- The 16-foot sculpture was unveiled in 2013 and was designed by 92-year-old Roberta 'Bobby' Annand whose reason for the creation was that she's always wanted such a sculpture there.
