  • Named because railway lines from Windsor, Truro and Dartmouth form a Junction here.
  • The name was given before the railway line to Dartmouth was built, when the main line was the railway to Truro and the Annapolis Valley Railway to Windsor was a branch line. Land was first granted here in 1765 to Joseph Scott.
