Nova Scotia Tourism Region : South Shore
Description From Owner:
- Land here was granted to John Schwartz, John Christopher, Andrew Brown and Elias Marshall in 1786. The name derives from the fact an Englishman lived here. Black refugees from the War of 1812 settled here after 1816.
