Nova Scotia Tourism Region : Yarmouth and Acadian Shores
- This is a First Nations peoples name given by the daughter of a former governor. In 1881 Blackadar and Co. moved here from Meteghan, built a mill and started lumbering operations.
- There was a station here after construction of the Western Counties Railroad in 1874.
