Nova Scotia Tourism Region : Bay of Fundy & Annapolis Valley
Description From Owner:
- First called Salem but changed its name when mineral springs were developed in 1817. At that time Wilmot Spa Springs opened, catering to those wanting to “take the waters.”
- A Halifax company bought out the operation, and built a hotel and bath houses with hot and cold mineral water piped in and operated until 1901. In 1909 the bottling plant burned down.
