Description From Owner:
- Donald McLean McDonald erected a mill for dyeing and dressing handmade cloth here in 1848.
- This was the first establishment of its kind in Cape Breton and McDonald became known as The Dyer and his home was called The Dyer's Glen which he changed to Glendyer.
