Nova Scotia Tourism Region : Cape Breton Island
Description From Owner:
- This is said to be a Mi'kmaw word meaning ‘an angle of land formed between a river and a lake,' not ‘a money-laundering centre.'
- Another Mi'kmaw word, Wosobachuk means 'placid water.' John Cameron was the first settler here, around 1807.
