  • Tobeatic Lake: The Aboriginal name was Toobeadoogook, for which a meaning is unknown. The present spelling has evolved from 19th-century references to Tobigadic.
  • The name has been incorporated into the Tobeatic Wilderness Area at the junction of the counties of Queens, Shelburne, Yarmouth, Digby and Annapolis.
  • The wildlife management area covers the headwaters of the Clyde, Jordan, Mersey, Roseway and Tusket Rivers.
